My heart Dr. put me me on coumadin. I have been on it now for over 2 yrs. and really want to quit taking it. I have fairly low blood pressure, am not overweight, exercise and I am wondering if aspirin alone wouldn't be a better choice for me. I have not had a re-occurrence of the flutter. I suspect it caused by the anesthetic. I have never had a stroke or a heart attack and at 81 in pretty good health.. After cataract surgery, I had an atrial flutter.
